Japanese Grammar 110 – Irregular Verbs

These verbs are “suru” (to make / do) and “kuru” (to come).


Suru

Shi negative base
Shi indefinite base

Suru positive base

Sure conditional / imperative base

Examples:

Karera wa benkyō shinai – They don’t study
Karera wa sensei ni aisatsu shimasu – They greet the teacher
Karera wa mainichi renshū suru – They exercise every day
Karera wa ryōri sureba – If they cooked

Kuru

Ko negative base
Ki indefinite base
Kuru positive base
Kure conditional / imperative base

Kanojo wa gakkō ni konai – She doesn’t come to school
Kanojo wa eki ni kimasu – She doesn’t come to the station
Kanojo wa ginkō ni kuru – She comes to the bank
Kanojo wa koko ni kureba – If she came here
